Disability DENIED.

Got a letter in the mail from SS. Disability denied. It said -
"Your condition results in some limitations in your ability to perform work related activities. However, these limitations do not prevent you from performing work you have done in the past as a Registered Nurse. We have determined that your condition is not severe enough to keep you from working ".

So I guess I should keep working until I die?! Drug addicts and alcoholics get disability a hell of a lot easier. I've worked for 32 years as a nurse, I have arthritis in my whole spine, feet, hands, shoulders etc. I had disc fusions in my neck but now arthritis has ruined the discs above and below the fusion (that surgery was done due to arthritis in c5-c7). I was on Xeljanz but now don't have insurance so on absolutely nothing. I had cataracts but from heavy doses of prednisone I am now legally blind but disability still thinks none of that should prevent me from working. What a terrible system we have in this country. You have no choice but to pay into SS and yet if you become disabled, you don't get any help.

  1. Hello , I am so sorry that you have to go through that. My sister has worked for the school system for almost 30 years. With the type of work she was doing it messed her up. She went in front of a judge and everything, but still got denied for disability. She has had 2 heart attacks and 3 surgeries and walks with a limp. She has 2 years left to retire. I understand what you are saying. I just can't believe what they are putting you through. I hope you keep fighting this until the end. Do you have any plans in mind? Thanks for sharing. 1. Wow! So sad you landed a deadbeat attorney. Good luck with your hearing!

    2. Hello thanks for the great information. I got denied twice too. I was so happy to retire. It sucks to keep getting denied! I hope you are doing well. Diane (Team Member)
